We offer comprehensive end-to-end services including design and planning, organising financing, equipment specification, procurement, shipping, commissioning, training and maintenance, ensuring a seamless delivery for our clients.

Our team consists of experienced healthcare planners and project managers supported by a network of associates and partners offering business case preparation, capacity & demand modelling, financing, environmental & social impact studies, master planning & design, construction supervision and operational readiness. We maintain long-term relationships with many of the world's leading equipment manufacturers.

We bring expertise in solving complex problems in the most challenging markets across Africa, Asia, Central & Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our Team

Rob Whitty

Founder & Director

Rob has over thirty years' experience within the healthcare industry, successfully managing multi-disciplinary teams on projects worldwide. His pragmatism and problem-solving skills have ensured successful delivery in challenging environments through pandemics, natural disasters and conflicts.

He has grassroots experience of driving improvements in healthcare across Africa and Asia having grown up and lived in those regions. Rob has a network of relationships covering Governments, Equipment Manufacturers and local service providers. Rob leads on business governance and administration.

Rob has previously worked for Save The Children, Merlin, EN-Projects and Orbis.

Fazal Ahmad

Founder & Director

Faz has around forty years experience globally in business development and consultancy. He is passionate about delivering healthcare transformation.

His experience covers planning, lean process, hospital design & build, medical equipment, ICT and training. He leads on the financing working with grantors, ECAs and Banks. He has previously worked in the industry for IQVIA, EMIS, EN-Projects and Medidata, helping clients in the UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.

Faz also serves as a volunteer as the Operations Director for the NGO Humanity First managing 65 branches. His teams do clinical capacity building, outreach clinics and managing 11 hospitals and clinics across Central America, Africa and Asia.

Our team of Project Managers, Planners and Associates have experience in delivery across the world covering hospital design, build, MEP, Equipment, training and maintenance.

Sachini Liyanage

Head of Health Planning

Sachini is an experienced healthcare planner specialising in functional planning, hospital layout & design and room by room medical equipment planning. Based in London, she has over 10 years' experience working on hospital projects across Europe, South Asia, Africa and Latin America working for VAMED, Asiri Central Hospital, Medex Holdings, EN-Projects and Aventura.

She has developed expertise in both healthcare planning and biomedical engineering interventions within healthcare built environments. Her experience spans the complete lifecycle of turnkey hospital projects ensuring a seamless integration of planning, design and execution.

Patrick O'Rourke

Project Manager

Patrick is an experienced Associate Project Manager and Operations Specialist with 15 years' experience, mainly in Africa, leading healthcare infrastructure projects. He has managed large-scale projects delivering improved maternal, pediatric and ICU health infrastructure. He leads on the ground, overseeing procurement, shipping, installation and staff training. His experience covers projects in Liberia, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania. He thrives in complex and challenging environments, managing risks and coordinating stakeholders. He has worked for The Carter Center, EN-Projects and Global Communities.

Patrick has volunteered with the US Peace Corps and also knows his way around the best golf courses in East Africa!

Buck Rose

Biomedical Consultant

Buck is a highly experienced Medical Equipment Planning Consultant and Chartered Engineer based in Sheffield in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management in the UK.

He is comfortable dealing with all project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, manufactureres and clinical staff.

Through his 37 years, Buck has worked on hospital projects across Africa, the Middle East and Europe. His experience includes working on Kings College Hospital (Dubai), SKBZ Hospital (Morocco), Sheikh Khalifa Medical Center (Abu Dhabi) and many others.

He has previously worked for a number of organisations including ICME, GE Healthcare, Meinhardt International and DHCC Dubai.

Chris Hill

Logistics & Service Integration PM

Chris has 30 years experience as an accomplished international project, logistics and supply chain operations manager, with global experience across the healthcare, mining and automotive sectors.

A practical and hands-on manager, he is committed to optimising processes, fostering innovation and driving organisational success in dynamic environments worldwide. Chris has a track record of delivering high value projects with multi-disciplinary teams and has worked with KBR, UTi, Goldfields Ghana, EN-Projects, Anglogold Ashanti, Redback Mining and General Motors.

He has worked in Africa, South Asia and Europe and is a proven problem solver when dealing with issues related to medical equipment logistics and distribution whilst adhering to regulatory compliance.
